The Ontario Choice Low E Glass Advantage

Ontario Choice ThermalEdge Glass Spacer

Maximizes the temperature you set either by heating or air-conditioning (or both) in your home. It allows light in but insulates from excessive heat entering or heat escaping.

Thermal Edge Technology is the material used to separate or provide a space between the panes of glass and it is less conductive than using a conventional aluminum spacer bar.  This means the edge of the glass stays warmer in the winter.

Features include:

· Improved engineered polymer bridge improves thermal
performance.

· Provides a moisture barrier that prevents passage of water
or water vapor that would fog the unit.

· Provides a gas-tight seal that prevents the loss of any special
low-conductance gas in the air space.

· Creates an insulating barrier that reduces the formation of
interior condensation at the edge.

Maximum insulation from the sun’s rays and maintenance of cool air from air conditioning. It isn’t tinted at all at resembles normal glass.

Absorbs the light from the sun, muting its sharp rays and only allowing a soft glow to permeate your home. The glass will be warmer to the touch than normal glass, but not to a dangerous
degree.

Maximum protection from cold air. Allowing for the most penetration of warmth and sunlight while offering a seal that won’t let as much warmth from heat escape.

Under the retrofit program, which is expected to cost the government $300 million over two years, homeowners can get grants of up to $5,000 to help pay for improving the energy efficiency of a home.
